Avalon FM20 Antepartum offers fetal and maternal monitoring for obstetrical departments in offices, clinics, and hospitals. It integrates monitoring of maternal blood pressure and pulse rate with measurement of multiple fetal heart rates and uterine activity. Efficiently designed, it is compact and easy to use and has power and performance features, including high-quality ultrasound.

New high performance functionality in the FM20 includes the capability to monitor triplets with a sophisticated three-channel ultrasound tracing capability and coincidence detection between all heart rate channels.

Data from the Avalon FM20 can be automatically transmitted to the Philips OB TraceVue obstetrical information system.

Avalon FM30 Intrapartum Monitor for enhanced care through labor and delivery, with maternal vital signs
Avalon FM30 covers patients from the onset of contractions through final stages of delivery with its full set of external and internal fetal parameters, such as ultrasound and direct fetal heart rate, Toco, and intrauterine pressure. It provides monitoring of maternal blood pressure, heart rate and the maternal ECG wave.

The FM30 includes all the new high performance functionality of the FM20, plus maternal pulse oximetry.

Fully integrated within Philips obstetrical information continuum, data and traces from the Avalon FM30 can be automatically transmitted to OB TraceVue, where they become part of the overall patient record.

Our new soft and smooth transducers are also “smart.” Once plugged in, they are automatically recognized by the system. The Transducer Finder feature lights the correct transducer when a heart rate display is selected. This is especially useful for monitoring multiples.

Philips transducers use seven crystal ultrasound technology which provides homogeneous distribution of ultrasound energy. This results in equal signal distribution throughout the ultrasound coverage area.

• Combined Toco and ECG, for intrapartum use, feeds the direct ECG signal into the fetal monitor via the Toco cable, eliminating the need for an additional cable connection and reducing cable clutter.
• Ergonomic design is smooth to the touch
• Disposable, soft abdominal belt, one of several belts Philips offers, provides latex-free comfort for mother-to-be.
• Transducer Finder feature is useful for monitoring of multiples. Select one fetal heart rate on the monitor display. The Transducer Finder indicator lights up bright blue on the corresponding transducer.

• Signal quality is shown with indicators on each fetal heart rate channel, to help you optimize the transducer’s position (separate indicator for each fetal heart rate).
• Touch screen operation. Fetal and maternal (optional) patient information is displayed in numerical or graphical form on a 16.5cm. (6.5˝) TFT color screen.
• Toco baseline adjust and paper advance are accessible on the initial user menu.
• Maternal ECG wave for quick assessment of maternal heart rhythm (FM30 only).
• Function key allows you to toggle through menus for expanded functionality.
• Toco activity or intrauterine pressure (FM30 only)
• Audible fetal heart tones assist with transducer positioning. Volume adjustable to allow parents to listen.
