First: The first dynamic shows the arterial phase images and the second dynamic displays the portal vein. The total breath hold time was 34 seconds (17 seconds per dynamic phase).

Benefit of SENSE x4
In this kind of study, the scan time is limited by breath hold constraints.
Using SENSE x4, the spatial resolution achievable in this scan time is 4 times higher than what would be practical without SENSE. So SENSE gives a spectacular improvement in vessel definition with no extra acquisition time.
