Respiratory triggered 3D TSE MRCP using Intera's sensitive respiratory sensor.
High spatial resolution + short scan time, using SENSE
3D MRCP offers the strengths of high image quality and high spatial resolution, but in the past the scan time has been longer.
Now SENSE cuts the scan time while still ensuring high spatial resolution.
Short echo space, reduced blurring
Another unique point: For short echo space, there are 47 start up echoes in this sequence.
You can set a lot of start up echoes when you use SENSE because you need low TF. This means short echo space, short data sampling time and reduced blurring.

Dual Echo sequences in short short scan time, using SENSE
The strength of Dual Echo sequences is that you can clearly see the relationship of the bilary tree relative to the surrounding tissues. Short TE images can compensate for the reduced signal from the concentrated bile. But again, in the past, the scan time has been longer.
Now SENSE gives you the benefits of Dual Echo in shorter scan time

Strengths of this sequence include:
- Scan time is only 18.9 seconds with SENSE
- High contrast, high resolution, high SNR, no blurring (very short scan time)
- Patient free breathing
- Position of the bilary tree is clearly seen in relation to the surrounding tissues
- You can reduce SAR
